Our Staff
Joanne started as a parent volunteer at Creative Montessori School—and eventually became a teacher.
My association with the Creative Montessori School began about 1983, when I was the mother of a four year old, and she was a student. Her younger sister followed in her footsteps. I was an active parent volunteer during those years, and then I began to substitute and to learn about Montessori in more depth.
In 1993, I began co-teaching here at the Creative Montessori School. I have a degree in Vocational Home Economics in Education. I also have banking experience, which I put to good use by being the school bookkeeper.
It is fun to see our students grow and learn, go on to other schools, and then occasionally see them as they become young adults. Several have returned to work here as teen assistants.
