Our Staff
Alice is Creative Montessori School’s director as well as a teacher.
I became interested in the Montessori method of education when my children were ages 2 1/2 and 3 1/2. I knew that I wanted it for them. It was a quick step to knowing that I also wanted it for me. I began my training in 1968 and completed my internship year in 1969. After working 3 years each in two excellent schools, I opened my own two schools in 1977. I continued teaching in one, while administering both. The Creative Montessori School is now in one location and incorporates a full care program along with half-day and extended day programs.
Montessori has opened the world of the child to me with all of its loving and kind energy. It is a stimulating, challenging and nurturing career. One of the best aspects is that it provides continual opportunities for learning and growth. The staff of the school is like my extended family. I love to go to school, and I love to teach.
Other interests of mine are the practice of yoga, the French language, gardening, traveling, photography, and spending time with my two beautiful grandchildren, who have both attended the Creative Montessori School.
